My name is Waqas Awan and this here is a narration of my professional life uptil now. It was in 2017 that I decided to delve into technical writing, creating a potion of my passion for writing and my background in computer science. Since then, I’ve produced amazing results for my clients by becoming a bridge between software products/services/processes and the customers.
In my current role at Soloinsight, I create user guides, user manuals, and product release notes, and provide marketing material to support the organization’s outreach plans. I am also responsible for creating technical documentation for developers, creating a content strategy for the organization, and managing junior writers. I am also responsible for conducting regular content audits to ensure information accuracy and relevance. I also work closely with the marketing team to create B2B and B2C content and campaigns along with utilizing best SEO practices for the official website’s content.
At Motive, I played a pivotal role in creating helpful articles that introduced customers to new features and updates, guiding them in making the best use of our services. Acting as a bridge between development teams and customers, I provided valuable knowledge and gathered feedback to enhance our offerings. I also focused on refining Chatbot flows to enhance customer interactions.
During my tenure at i2c Inc. as an Associate Product Manager, I gained valuable experience working on payment platforms and facilitating applications. Collaborating with subject matter experts and teams, I developed accurate and relevant technical content for users and clients. I prepared release notes for various product platforms, trained new hires, and maintained product manuals and API documentation.
As a Technical Writer at i2c Inc., I honed my proofreading and editing skills. I ensured the alignment of user manuals, guides, API documents, and release notes with branding guidelines. Additionally, I designed release note takeaways and contributed to the release notes podcast, effectively communicating complex technical concepts.
At FiveRivers Technologies, I contributed to technical content marketing initiatives and inbound campaigns. I engaged in projects for esteemed companies, creating engaging content and generating leads through trending blog articles. I also played a significant role in creating social media content and developing case studies, showcasing my versatility.
With more than 7 years of experience in Technical Writing, I am more than capable of producing captivating content for the audience whether there is a technical person or a layman on the viewer side of the screen.
